Is a DVD Decoder necessary to play DVD movies? |
You must have a DVD decoder installed on your computer in order to view DVD video. The HOTLLAMA Player supports playback for all DirectShow® compatible Decoders.
If you receive a message notifying you that a DVD Decoder is missing, you will need to purchase a Decoder in order to view DVD video on your computer. DVD Decoders typically accompany Software DVD Players available for purchase, or sometimes they are integrated with a newly purchased computer.
If you do not have a Decoder, HOTLLAMA offers recommended DVD Decoders for purchase on our website athttp://www.hotllamaplayer.com/dvddecoder.
NOTE: Video playback issues could also be caused by a failure to meet the minimum requirements of DirectX® 8.1. You may download the latest version of DirectX® from Microsoft´s® website. Also, please ensure that your video card has drivers that support DirectX® 8.1 or greater.

When I insert a DVD into my DVD-ROM drive, nothing happens. What do I do? |
Depending on your system specifications, the DVD may naturally load more slowly than normal. DVD launch failure could be caused by several factors, most commonly either failure to meet the minimum system requirements or varied DVD Decoder issues. If you already have the HOTLLAMA Player installed, go to Start > Programs, launch the HOTLLAMA Player and access the DVD by clicking on buttons such as Play to get started. If you do not have the HOTLLAMA Player installed, go to My Computer, Right-Click on your DVD drive and choose AutoPlay. Depending on your system specifications, this latter option may not work. |
The HOTLLAMA Player´s "Loading Page" screen is being displayed for a long period of time. What is this due to? |
The HOTLLAMA Player´s "Loading Page" is displayed when trying to access the DVD Movie or a web page. If you have a slower computer, you may see the "Loading Page" longer than usual. When trying to access a web page, the "Loading Page" acts much like Internet Explorer when searching or waiting for a web page to load. If the web page you are trying to access cannot be found or is experiencing server issues, then this may occur. Also, in some instances, if you have a software firewall installed on your system with certain settings, there may be a window prompt underneath the Player awating your reply to "OK" this action. The window prompt may be viewable on your Windows task bar as well. |
Do I need Macromedia Flash plug-in installed? |

For any additional information regarding Macromedia Flash, visit Macromedia´s website. |
Are there bandwidth limitations on the content provided via the Internet? |
Yes and no. Any content that is accessed via the Internet will have the same limitations you would typically experience while interacting with the web. However, there are virtually no bandwidth limitations on the content that is accessed directly from the DVD. |
Which Regions does the HOTLLAMA Player support? |

Are other Microsoft Windows OS languages supported other than English? |
You will have the ability to view and interact with the DVD-ROM features on the disc, however you may not be able to view the DVD Movie unless your DVD-ROM drive is configured for Region 1. The HOTLLAMA Player fully supports English Microsoft Windows OS versions in Region 1. If you have another OS langauge installed in Region 1 and you receive a mismatch 13 error upon launching the Player, you will have to go directly to our Updates page (http://www.hotllamaplayer.com/updates) on our website to use the HOTLLAMA Player successfully. The latest update version will correct this problem. |
