What is required to interact with the HOTLLAMA Player?

In order to provide you with the best possible experience while using the HOTLLAMA Player, we have made every attempt to be as compatible as possible with Windows based PC's. Keeping your Microsoft Windows® operating system up-to-date will help ensure the proper functioning of the HOTLLAMA Player.

To ensure a smooth and stable operation of the HOTLLAMA Player, we recommend the following:

Software:
> DirectX 8.1 or greater
> Windows 98SE, ME, 2000 Prof, XP/2000 & Media Center Edition
> Internet Explorer 5.5/SP2 or greater (IE 6.0 recommended)
> DirectShow supported DVD Decoder Installed
> Latest Video drivers are recommended

Hardware:
> At least Pentium II/333mhz or greater with at least 64mb RAM
> A video adapter that supports DirectX 8.1 or greater
> A DVD-ROM drive (will not play on a CD-ROM drive)
> Hardware DVD Decoder Installed (must support DirectShow)
> An Internet connection

What is a DVD Decoder?

A DVD Decoder is required on your computer to view DVD Video. DVD Decoders usually come bundled with purchased DVD Software Players, or you will need to purchase a DVD Decoder separately for use with a Player. The HOTLLAMA Player supports all DirectShow compatible DVD Decoders. For more detailed information on DVD Decoders, go to our Support section.

Can you interact with the Internet through the HOTLLAMA Player?

Yes. As long as the computer running the HOTLLAMA Player is connected to the Internet, you can access any content linking directly to the web.

Are there bandwidth limitations with the content on the DVD?

Yes and no. Any content that is accessed via the Internet will have the same limitations you would typically experience while interacting with the web. However, there are no bandwidth limitations on the content that is accessed directly from the DVD.

Should you have privacy concerns about the HOTLLAMA Player?

Absolutely not. You can be confident that your identity will always remain anonymous. The HOTLLAMA Player has successfully passed anti-spyware reviews from companies such as McAfee, TrendMicro, Symantic and Softpedia. Your anonymous usage and habit information will only help our clients provide you with what you are really looking for - more compelling and relevant content so that you, the consumer, can have more fun! Additionally, as you are utilizing the DVD-ROM contents of your HOTLLAMA Powered DVD, be aware that the content provider may have their own opt-in contests you may sign-up for at your own will. Is the HOTLLAMA Player compatible with Apple Macintosh?

Not yet. We are currently in the process of developing a special version just for Mac users. Please check back soon for an update.
